The Gwalior Fort - Gwalior Fort is one of the most magnificent monument of Gwalior. It has been the witness to many imprisonments, battles and jauhars. Of the many Hindu dynasties that ruled Gwalior, the Kachhwahas and Tomars contributed the most to its culture and architecture. Out of three entrances to the fort only two are accessible today. Two famous temples inside the fort
Saas-Bahu complex - Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the Saas- Bahu temple complex was built in the 11th century.

Teli Ka Mandir - The 100 ft tall Teli Ka Mandir was built in the 9th century. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and has unique architectural style.

Mausoleum Of Sheikh Muhammad Ghaus -This spectacular structure was built during Akbar's rule. Built on a square plan, with hexagonal towers and flanked on four sides with delicate stone lattices, it appears to float on air despite its large size.

Jai Vilas Palace - It was built during the reign of Jiyagi Rao. The palace is three storeys high and is decorated with Tuscan, Italianate and Corinthian coloumns. The palace also houses a museum that displays among other paraphernalia the much talked about silver dinning train used to ferry champagne bottles around the table.

The Sun Temple - This temple is newly constructed and is located near the Residency at Morar. The temple takes its inspiration from the famous Konark Sun Temple in Orissa.

The Gwalior School Of Music - This school is famous for its successful adaptation of folk music to classical standards and for creating a new musical mode called dhrupad, which subsequently acquired popularity with Tansen.

The Gujari Mahal Archaeological Museum - This museum is a paradise for various rare antiques, some of them as old as 1st century.

The Kala Vithika - This is another treasure house of the arts.

Gwalior Zoo - In this zoo some of the rare species of Indian wildlife are kept in natural surroundings.
