Chief Draws Of Gangtok

Do -Drul Chorten - This huge white structure with its golden spire is a landmark of Gangtok. This was built in 1945 and is surrounded by 108 prayer wheels and houses several rare religious texts.

Enchey Monastery - This is the seat of the Nyingma order, where you can enjoy the masked dances performed during the ' Chaam' festival held in January every year.

Government Institute Of Cottage Industries - This institute teaches and promotes the ancient crafts of Sikkim like painting, mask making, weaving and wood carving.

There are several other interesting places around Gangtok like: Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok and Tashi View Point from where you get the most amazing view of the Kanchenjunga and other snow -clad mountain peaks.
