Khandala, endowed with breathtaking
natural beauty, is one of the most charming hill stations of Maharastra. The
place turns a paradise for all those who wish to escape the commotion of the
metropolitans. One can enjoy the fabulous sight of deep valleys on one side
and high hills on the other. Set amongst the slopes of Sahyadri mountain
range one can feel the presence of nature in its entire splendour. Beautiful
valleys, hills, milky waterfalls, lush greenery and pleasant cool winds
surrounds the entire land, now say.............."Aati Kya Khandala"
Travel Attractions
Khandala has an array of tourists attractions
Rajmachi Park - This park is located on the way to Mumbai from
Lonavala. This is a beautiful garden situated before the beginning of the
ghat at Khandala. It offers a spectacular view of the surroundings.
Ryewood - Ryewood is a picturesque garden located near Lonavala. The
park offers great scope of entertainment to the children and is enveloped
with green tress. Ryewood also owns a beautiful Mahadeo temple.
Duke's Nose - It is an important tourist spot of Khandala which has
been named after Duke Wellington. This place is very famous for rock
climbing.
Shivaji Park - Earlier a playground Shivaji Park today is a
wannabe tourist spot and holds a statue of Shri Shivaji Maharaj.
Kune Falls - Situated between Lonavala and Khandala, this waterfall
falls from a height of more than 100 feet and proves to be a great source of
recreation for the visitors.
Tiger's Leap - This is a special spot in Khandala. It is named
Tiger's Leap because when you look carefully at the valley form this spot it
appears as if a tiger is leaping into the valley.
Monkey Hill - This is an important picnic spot located in Khandala.

Khandala is a paradise for adventure seekers.
There are several
Trekking and Hiking opportunities for the tourists in
Khandala. Rock Climbing can be enjoyed by the visitors
at Karla Hills and the popular Duke's Nose peak.

Khandala is well known for its fast food like chikkis,
jams, chiwda, wafers and various types of sevs.

restaurants that offer sumptuous Mughlai, Chinese and Continental food. The

Climate
Khandala has a pleasing climate all throughout year. The
hill resort experiences mild temperature during summers (April-June), while
winters are cool (November-February). The summer temperature reaches 36
degree C and the winter temperature is around 12 degree C.
