The Deccan Chronicle is an English
language newspaper established in Hyderabad in 1938. The paper derives its
name from its place of origin- the Deccan region. It is simultaneously
published in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. It is said to be
the no.1 daily newspaper in Andhra Pradesh and the 4th most read English
daily in India. M.J Akbar, a noted Indian journalist is the Editor-in-Chief
of The Deccan Chronicle.
