It is simultaneously published in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. It is said to be the no.1 daily newspaper in Andhra Pradesh and the 4th most read English daily in India. M.J Akbar, a noted Indian journalist is the Editor-in-Chief of The Deccan Chronicle.
